"Create a space, walking it, shape it with the signs of experience. In the "Maps" by Camilla Rossi, a series of small paintings and books, the time of discovery and the time of creation is inextricably mixed, and the construction of the sign is combined with its mapping coordinates.
maps that appear more or less in evidence on the canvas, combining colors and graceful gestures, convey an illusory sense of space to cope with a predetermined order and reassuring. Only once embarked on the journey from before you find what you would expect less: the total disorientation. Therefore, the points of reference drawn by the artist, there is no opening to a microenvironment over, but an enigmatic air initiation, defined as full as possible. Maps catalyze a centripetal force that can attract the perfect canvas forms that previously could only be suspended if the world of ideas, now condense, taking on new dimensions in the concreteness of the work.
